Welcome to St. Guthlac's Church.
CHURCH IS CHANGING
For the second year, due to the pandemic, we have not been able to meet in the church to celebrate our saviours death and resurrection. We all miss the wonderful music, the celebrations and the beautiful Easter Flowers, a sure indication that spring is all around us. This year our flower arrangers have created a wonderful decoration around the church porch for the whole community to enjoy. We have also erected three crosses in our garden to remind us of the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was crucified. The church garden is an oasis of beauty at this time of year and there are two benches for you to come and reflect.
And let us remain hopeful. Restrictions are easing, even if too slowly for our liking, and the PCC has a plan for a gradual re-opening of our building and for picking up our shared life together once this becomes possible. In the meantime, let’s remember the hope we have through the resurrection of Christ; let’s “live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way…. being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and (give) joyful thanks to the Father.” (Colossians 1.10-12)
